The Cleveland Stroke Club was founded on the basic self-help concept. That is, stroke survivors and their families banded together to exchange coping techniques for the many stroke-related problems they experience.
The Cleveland Stroke Club is a nonprofit organization that is tax exempt under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and classified as a public charity.
MEETINGS
We have two meetings each month. The first Wednesday of the month meeting is for Caregivers and Survivors of Stroke. We enjoy dinner ($7.00 per person) together. Dinner is optional. After dinner each group separates for their respective meeting. The meeting is held at Kindred Hospital, located at 11900 Fairhill Road, Cleveland, OH 44120 Reservations are required; call Dottie (440) 338-1136.
The third Wednesday of the month meeting is held at Disciples Christian Church, 3663 Mayfield Rd., Cleveland Heights 44121. This is a dinner meeting ($5.00 per person). After dinner, a guest speaker will present information relevant to caregivers and survivors of stroke.
Exceptions: There is no meeting at the Church in July or October. (see social events).
MEMBERSHIP
There are three types of membership, Caregiver, Survivor, and Supporter.
Any person who has had a stroke and their family member(s) are eligible for membership while others, such as friends and professionals, are eligible for Supporter membership. The annual dues are $6.00 per person. Membership application forms are available at each meeting or you may use the form provided here. (Checks are to be made payable to Cleveland Stroke Club.)

If you or a member of your family has had a stroke, we invite you to visit our third Wednesday Meeting anytime (reservations not required) or call Dottie to make a reservation for the first Wed. Meeting. New members are always welcome.
